Preconstruction Manager

BC Construction Group is looking for a Preconstruction Manager to support commercial, industrial, warehouse, distribution, mission critical, cold storage, federal, and charter school projects across the country.

This role is office or hybrid based and works closely with operations, project management, business development, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to help position projects for success before construction begins.

We are looking for someone who can truly own the preconstruction process—estimating, budgeting, subcontractor outreach, design coordination, value engineering, procurement strategy, and project turnover.

You will help lead projects from conceptual budgeting through turnover to operations, including:

• Conceptual and detailed estimating
• Quantity takeoffs and scope review
• Budget development and cost planning
• Subcontractor outreach and bid leveling
• Value engineering and design-build collaboration
• Owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractor coordination
• Bid package development and procurement support
• Project turnover to operations after award
• Office and project travel as needed

We want someone who sees risk early, communicates clearly, and helps solve problems before construction starts.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, mission critical, cold storage, federal, or large commercial projects preferred
• Strong estimating, budgeting, subcontractor outreach, and bid leveling skills
• Ability to read plans and specifications across multiple disciplines
• Experience with Bluebeam, OST, Plan Swift, Excel, or similar estimating software
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A practical, team-first mindset
• The ability to manage work without constant direction

This role is based in Brighton, Michigan and may be office or hybrid, depending on the candidate and business needs.

Occasional travel to project sites, client meetings, and the Brighton office may be required.

Expected base salary range: $70,000–$95,000, depending on experience and fit.
