Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a small design-build construction team. This role involves working directly with various project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The projects include a $100M ground-up multi-family project in Ann Arbor and a single-family homes subdivision in Colorado, with a focus primarily on commercial projects such as municipal, industrial, and storage units.
Responsibilities- Prepare proposals and assist with bid packages.
- Maintain and update project drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Administer the submittal process and document control.
- Track budgets and report financial status to both the owner and internally.
- Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors and project teams.
- Manage weekly progress meetings and documentation.
- Monitor field progress and quality.
- Assist with cost control, change orders, and project closeout.
- Enforce safety standards and maintain required certifications.
- Develop value engineering ideas to save money and/or improve timing and quality.
- 3+ years of ground-up commercial project management experience.
- Experience in budget reporting and financial status tracking.
- Ability to administer the submittal process and control documentation.
- Coordination and communication skills with subcontractors and project teams.
- Enforcement of safety standards and maintenance of required certifications (OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid, MUST Safety).
- Proficiency in project management, construction, and budgeting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with multi-family projects.
- Design-build project experience.
- Skills in estimation and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with mixed-use and multifamily construction.
The position operates within a small design-build construction company, supporting multiple concurrent projects such as municipal, industrial, and storage units. The role involves a mix of office and field work, with typical hours from 7 AM to 5 PM and some Saturdays if projects are behind schedule. The position is salaried with no overtime, and involves 75% office work and 25% fieldwork, with regular team meetings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brighton, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
