This role is centered around guiding Pre‑K through 8th‑grade students in life competencies such as public speaking, concentration, collaboration, and constructive feedback. Through structured workshops and individualized coaching you will help students achieve 100% of their weekly adaptive learning targets and master skills assessed by Test2
Pass.
During your first year you will manage a student cohort and master Alpha’s methodology. Success in meeting 100% goal completion with student satisfaction above 90% may lead to advancement to Lead Guide, where you mentor other Guides while staying engaged with students.
What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating one‑hour life competency workshops for Pre‑K–8 students covering public speaking, concentration, collaboration, and constructive feedback exchange (experiential and project‑oriented).
- Conducting daily individual and small‑group motivation sessions where you analyze each student’s adaptive learning app progress (via Coachbot analytics), establish goals, and drive them toward 100% weekly target achievement.
- Overseeing and assessing Test2
Pass evaluations to verify students have genuinely mastered each life skill, not merely attended. - Adjusting your coaching approach across a broad age spectrum, from Pre‑K students requiring high energy and physical activity to 8th graders needing direct conversation and accountability.
- Cultivating authentic connections with each student so they trust you sufficiently to receive coaching through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty.
- Delivering lectures or traditional academic instruction.
- Creating lesson plans or curriculum independently.
- Handling parent communications or administrative tasks.
- Evaluating homework or preparing standardized test materials.
- Operating independently; you are integrated into a campus team including Lead Guides, Campus Leads, and colleagues who exchange feedback and maintain mutual accountability.

Basic Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 3+ years of direct experience working with Pre‑K–8 students (teaching, coaching, counseling, or youth program management).
- Demonstrated experience motivating or coaching Pre‑K–8 students toward academic, behavioral, or extracurricular objectives with a concrete example you can articulate.
- Regular use of generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude).
- Ability to work on‑site at Alpha’s Central Houston, South Houston, or The Woodlands campus (relocation assistance provided).
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Background in youth sports coaching, camp direction, or after-school program management with direct responsibility for motivating children to achieve specific objectives.
- History of high personal achievement (academic distinctions, competitive athletics, or leadership positions requiring sustained excellence).
- Innate storytelling capability: you can maintain a room of 12‑year‑olds’ attention for an hour without elevating your voice.
- Experience motivating disengaged or reluctant students and converting them into active contributors.

Working with usThis is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
