We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to inspire students through engaging lessons and a dynamic learning environment while fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture. The Spanish Teacher will develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.

• Develop and deliver high‑quality Spanish language instruction to students.
• Incorporate cultural activities and resources to enhance language learning and promote appreciation of Spanish‑speaking cultures.
• Create comprehensive lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance through tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to support the institution’s mission.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

• Supervise multiple students simultaneously.
• Establish routines and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Create and implement instructional plans.
• Participate in continuous professional development.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

• Occasionally lift/move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Stand and walk frequently.
• Occasionally sit on the floor or bend down/squat.
• Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year.
• Withstand a moderate noise level.
• Be able to perform first aid/CPR if necessary.
• Assist/lift students as necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, Linguistics, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.
• Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan for secondary education with an endorsement in the subject.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
