The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and improving manufacturing processes within a CNC machining environment. This role supports new product launches, process optimization, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality planning while working closely with engineering, production, customers, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage new product launches, including timelines, tooling, capital spending, and customer coordination.
  • Develop and optimize machining processes to meet quality, cost, and production requirements.
  • Create and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with tooling engineers on product design and manufacturability improvements.
  • Evaluate production flow, equipment utilization, staffing requirements, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, and other operational improvement initiatives.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers regarding product specifications, tooling, and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a CNC machining environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, fixtures, cutting tools, and tooling applications.
  • Proficiency with GD&T, M & G code, and AutoCAD and/or Solid Works.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
