Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with an automotive components organization, is seeking a skilled Project Manager. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional automotive product development programs, coordinating customer and engineering activities, and managing programs from initial business opportunity through production launch.
Job Duties- Coordinate engineering, account management, commercial, and customer activities across multiple automotive programs
- Manage product development schedules, program milestones, deliverables, timing, and customer requirements
- Support programs through concept, prototype, validation, development, and production launch
- Participate in OEM customer meetings, program reviews, technical discussions, and development activities
- Coordinate product quotations, proposals, commercial activities, and new business pursuits
- Track OEM program gates, quality requirements, launch readiness, and key deliverables
- Partner with engineering teams to resolve program issues and maintain alignment with customer expectations
- Support multiple OEM customer accounts and programs simultaneously
- 7+ years of project or program management experience within the automotive industry
- Demonstrated experience managing automotive component or engineered-product development programs
- Experience supporting products through concept, prototype, validation, development, and production launch
- Working knowledge of automotive OEM program gates, quality processes, timing requirements, and deliverables
- Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering, commercial, account management, and customer activities
- Experience working directly with automotive OEM customers
- Understanding of quoting, product proposals, sales activities, or new business development within an automotive environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Project or program management experience involving brake, suspension, chassis, or related vehicle systems
- Engineering background or strong technical knowledge of physical automotive components
- Experience supporting multiple OEM customer programs concurrently
- Familiarity with North American, European, or Asian OEM development processes
- PMP certification
- Experience coordinating vehicle evaluations, ride sessions, product demonstrations, or related customer development activities
