Position:
Student Nutrition Assistant - Brighton Area Schools 3.5 hours/day, 10:30AM - 2:00PM, 17.5 hours/week

Job Goal:
To insure that all students and staff receive attractive and nutritious meals of like value, within all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations, delivered to the buildings at the proper time.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, abilities and minimum qualifications necessary to perform the essential job functions, duties and responsibilities. Requirements include the following:
- Physician's report of negative tuberculosis exam.
- Neat and clean appearance; good health.
- Ability to relate well with fellow workers, students and staff.
- Ability to do basic math.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
An employee in this position may be called upon to successfully perform any or all of the following essential job functions, duties and responsibilities. The Student Nutrition Director reserves the right to add, delete, change and/or amend the requirements, duties and responsibilities, physical abilities and other abilities outlined:
- Serving of food and taking cash and lunch tickets.
- Storing of food correctly.
- Cleaning of kitchen area and dish washing room.
- Perform duties of Student Nutrition Manager in the absence of the Manager (if certified).
- Abide by all applicable statutes, rules, regulations and policies.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Student Nutrition Manager.
Evaluation:
Performance for this position will be evaluated on an annual basis by the Director of Student Nutrition.
