Job Description

Become a part of our dynamic team as a Protege Agent. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a seasoned mentor agent and undergo a comprehensive 6‑month program as you learn how to become a successful Agent. Our program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in marketing, servicing, and selling Farmers Insurance products.

This position will receive a base pay plus commission incentives.

Responsibilities Sales & Client Advising
  • Consult with clients to assess their insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options.
  • Present, promote, and sell a range of insurance products, including auto, home, life, and business policies.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects through networking, referrals, and community involvement.
  • Follow up with leads and manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to policy activation.
Client Service & Retention
  • Build long‑term relationships with clients to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Conduct regular policy reviews to ensure adequate coverage and identify cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding policies, billing, and claims in a timely and professional manner.
Administrative & Compliance
  • Prepare accurate quotes, applications, and renewals while maintaining detailed client records.
  • Adhere to company, state, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Stay current on insurance products, market trends, and underwriting guidelines.
Business Growth & Team Collaboration
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Participate in local marketing efforts and community events to build brand presence.
  • Collaborate with agency team members to share best practices and drive overall growth.
Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated with a drive for success.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Candidates must take a behavioral assessments before scheduled for interviews.
  • Active insurance license (or willingness to obtain).
