We're looking for a skilled Estate Planning Paralegal to join our close-knit team and play a central role in serving our clients from first meeting to final signing.
Role OverviewAs an Estate Planning Paralegal at Castle Wealth Group, you will be at the heart of our client workflow — drafting a wide range of estate planning documents, guiding clients through document review, and managing the signing process with professionalism and care. This role demands both precision and a genuine ability to connect with clients during often sensitive conversations about their legacy.
Key Responsibilities- Draft estate planning documents including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related instruments
- Review completed documents with clients, clearly explaining provisions and addressing questions in an accessible, client-friendly manner
- Coordinate and manage signing appointments, ensuring all documents are properly executed and witnessed in compliance with Michigan law
- Maintain accurate and organized client files — both electronic and physical — throughout the estate planning process
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding the status of their documents and upcoming appointments
- Collaborate with attorneys and advisors to ensure documents reflect each client's unique estate planning goals
- Track pending document drafts, revisions, and signings to ensure timely completion
- Assist with special projects, compliance tasks, and process improvements as needed
- 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on estate planning, elder law, or trust and estate administration strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Michigan estate planning laws and document requirements
- Experience drafting trusts, wills, and related estate planning instruments
- Exceptional attention to detail — accuracy in legal documents is non-negotiable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in plain language
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines simultaneously
- Client-first mindset — warm, professional, and comfortable navigating sensitive conversations
- Proficiency with legal document management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Paralegal certificate or Associate's/Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies preferred
