2nd Shift Lead Process Technician - Injection Mold; Plastics

This role involves supervising the second shift in an injection molding environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. The position reports to the Operations or Plant Manager and requires managing shift personnel, scheduling, troubleshooting molding issues, and maintaining documentation and equipment.

Shift: 4pm to 12 midnight, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising all shift employees.
• Scheduling operators and managing production schedules.
• Conducting performance evaluations.
• Managing part files and tool-specific data.
• Operating material handling equipment safely.
• Troubleshooting molding defects and process issues.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Implementing company goals and quality standards.
• Monitoring and controlling processes.
• Performing preventative maintenance on tools.
• Preparing for the next shift and recording downtime.
• Loading/unloading tools, maintaining logs, and ensuring part quality with quality assurance teams.
• Operating basic robotic equipment and maintaining ISO and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as an injection molding process technician.
• Leadership experience.
• Strong organizational and basic math skills.
• Experience operating powered industrial lift trucks.

Job Details: Full-time, $25-$28/hour, requiring at least 3 years of manufacturing experience and residence in Brighton, MI 48116.
