Reporting to the Material Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and finished goods. This position ensures inventory accuracy, maintains shipping and receiving documentation, coordinates outside processing services, and supports production by safely moving materials throughout the facility.
Pay range listed depends on experience related to the position

• Prepare and ship customer orders in accordance with company procedures.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials and verify shipments against packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders.
• Report damaged, incorrect, or missing materials promptly.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and freight paperwork.
• Safely move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility using powered industrial equipment.
• Coordinate shipments to and from outside processing vendors, including paint, heat treat, coating, and similar services.
• Maintain communication with outside suppliers regarding delivery schedules and order status.
• Follow all company quality standards, work instructions, and documentation requirements.
• Perform daily inspections of assigned forklifts and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience driving equipment and administrative tasks
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to accurately read part numbers, shipping documents, labels, and inventory information.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use barcode scanners, computer terminals, and other electronic devices.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain company forklift certification.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with company policies.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift materials throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (adjust if your requirement differs).
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
