Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is seeking a Finishing Tech to support precision manufacturing of orthopedic implants and instruments. In this role, you will perform deburring, polishing, blasting, and surface finishing operations on metal and polymer components using manual and automated equipment. You will read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and quality specifications while using gauges and measurement tools to verify dimensions and surface quality.

The Finishing Tech maintains equipment, documents work in compliance with medical device regulations, collaborates with machinists and quality inspectors, and supports continuous improvement in safety, quality, and throughput.

Responsibilities

  • Perform deburring, polishing, blasting, and other finishing operations on orthopedic components
  • Operate manual and automated finishing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and quality specifications
  • Use gauges and measuring tools to verify dimensions and surface finishes
  • Inspect parts for defects and cosmetic/functional compliance
  • Document work and inspection results per medical device quality requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform basic equipment upkeep
  • Collaborate with machinists, quality, and engineering to resolve issues
  • Follow safety, regulatory, and Good Manufacturing Practice procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality, throughput, and cost
