Job Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients in the Emergency Department. The RN utilizes technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practice, and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary health team.

Perform comprehensive assessment of physical, social, and psychological status; gather information from interdisciplinary team and family. - Plan:
Use assessment data and critical thinking to develop individualized care plans; involve patient, family, team, and physicians; plan for education and follow‑up. - Implement:
Direct and delegate care as per plan; coordinate team activities; manage time, supplies, and resources; prioritize patient needs. - Evaluate:
Review patient responses to interventions; revise care plans as needed; reassess changes appropriately. - Professionalism:
Promote nursing profession; adhere to legal and ethical standards; practice within scope; document accurately and timely.

- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Valid compact licenses transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment start.
- BSN required within four (4) years for RNs with less than 12 months experience.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- BSN requirement is effective as of April 27, 2025.
- Vision:
Must see and read information, labels, and patient needs. - Hearing:
Must hear and understand alarms, spoken information, and patient needs. - Manual dexterity:
Manipulate equipment, typing, medication preparation. - Lifting:
Transfer patients and move supplies weighing up to heavy items. - Walking/ambulating:
Assist patients, transport equipment, navigate crowded rooms. - Standing:
May stand for extended periods.
