Job SummaryThe Quality Technician supports the Quality function by performing laboratory testing, maintaining quality systems documentation, assisting with investigations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives at our manufacturing site. This role is critical in ensuring products meet customer requirements, internal quality standards, and regulatory expectations.
ScheduleMonday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (occasional Saturday depending on business needs)
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine quality control testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods using established laboratory methods and procedures.
- Conduct sampling procedures and accurately record inspection and test results.
- Support Quality Engineers with customer complaint investigations and product issue resolution.
- Assist with Quality Notifications (QNs), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and internal quality investigations.
- Participate in root cause analysis activities using methodologies such as 5 Why, 8D, CAPA, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
- Assist with internal quality audits and quality system compliance activities.
- Create, maintain, and ensure compliance with quality system documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
- Track, trend, and analyze quality data to support key quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform in-process quality checks, application testing, and incoming raw material inspections.
- Maintain laboratory records, filing systems, and retain sample inventories.
- Support laboratory housekeeping, inventory management, and quality improvement projects.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required
- Previous Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or laboratory testing experience or similar experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing and laboratory environment
- Experience in manufacturing, chemical, coatings, automotive, or industrial environment, preferred
- Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, audits, and quality systems.
- Ability to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when necessary.
- Moderate noise levels typical of manufacturing environments.
