Part-time Sales Associate; Brighton, MI

Overview

Ace Retail Group (ARG) is a division of Ace Hardware Corporation that owns and operates several Ace brands. ARG is one of the largest hardware retailers in the United States, with two headquarters in Lenexa, KS and Farmington Hills, MI, and over 250 neighborhood stores.

Winning, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility and Teamwork. The role described is for a Sales Associate who will assist with receiving, stocking, pricing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and orderly store presentation and overall store cleanliness.

• Customer Service:
  Provide a positive representation of Westlake Ace Hardware. Proactively assist customers in solving problems. Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving. Maintain a friendly, outgoing demeanor and work well with customers and associates. Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly and courteously. Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
  
  Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and product locations. Provide personal, customized service to customers based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
• Store Operations:
  Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment. Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise. Maintain back stock levels and ensure a clean and orderly sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise area. Assist with signage, end caps, ad merchandise, store merchandise resets, and collaboration with Department Specialists (e.g., price changes, special orders).
• General;
  Communication and Compliance:
  Ensure signage is current throughout the store. Operate forklift with proper training. Communicate Store Support Center issues to the General Manager for follow up and share merchandising, cost control, or sales ideas. Participate in store meetings and maintain professional appearance and conduct. Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Minimum:
  High School or GED equivalent.
• Formal retail experience preferred.
• Physical requirements:
  
  Standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, and climbing.

Compensation details: $14.25 per hour.
