Amcomm Incorporated is seeking a Utility Cable Placement Technician to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role include installing, maintaining, and repairing utility cables for various systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Install and repair underground utility cables according to specifications.
• Outside plant fiber and copper placement.
• Handhole and manhole work.
• Dig ups, and duct repair.
• Building hits and interior fiber placements.
• Perform regular maintenance on existing utility cable systems.
• Utilize technical equipment and tools to test and troubleshoot cable systems.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures while working on utility cable installations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Keep detailed records of work completed and materials used.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in utility cable placement or a related field.
• Knowledge of industry safety practices and guidelines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Certification in utility cable installation or a related field.
• Excavator experience is a plus.
• CDL prefered.
• Experience with specific types of utility cable systems.
• Proficiency in operating specialized tools and equipment.
• Medical, dental, vision, short and long term insurance after 90 days
