Community-Based Position | Part-Time | Flexible Hours

WSC is seeking a Job Coach/Job Mentor to provide hands-on employment support to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. You'll work alongside individuals at community employer sites, helping them learn their jobs, understand workplace expectations, develop skills, and become increasingly independent.

Make a Difference Every DayAs a Job Coach/Job Mentor, you won't spend your entire day behind a desk. You'll be out in the community, working one-on-one with individuals as they learn and grow on the job.
You may support someone who is learning a new position, help an individual strengthen communication or workplace skills, work through a challenge on the job, or celebrate the moment when someone can complete a task independently.
The goal is simple: provide the right support today so the individual can become more independent tomorrow.

As a Job Coach/Job Mentor, you will:
- Provide individualized, on-the-job coaching and support
- Help individuals learn job duties safely, accurately, and successfully
- Teach workplace expectations, routines, and appropriate workplace behaviors
- Help individuals strengthen communication, social, and problem-solving skills
- Identify individual strengths and determine the best ways to teach new skills
- Model job tasks and positive workplace behaviors
- Provide encouragement, feedback, and positive reinforcement
- Help individuals become increasingly independent as they gain confidence and master their responsibilities
- Identify workplace challenges and help develop practical solutions
- Communicate with employers to help create successful and inclusive work experiences
- Collaborate with WSC team members and others involved in an individual's employment success
- Monitor progress and complete required documentation and progress reports
- Travel to community employment sites based on assigned individuals and their work schedules

Experience in rehabilitation, human services, disability services, direct support, education, mentoring, coaching, or a related field is helpful—but we also value candidates with the patience, reliability, communication skills, and desire to help others succeed.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
