In this position you will maintain and service fire alarm systems and emergency lighting at a large-scale hospital in Brighton, ensuring compliance with current standards and customer requirements while delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and timely issue resolution.

Location: Site based at a large hospital in Brighton
Salary: Opportunity to earn in excess of £40,000 (base and overtime)
Working hours: Monday – Friday 8‑4 (flexibility required for some out of hours project work)

• Conduct routine inspections of fire safety systems (alarms and emergency lighting) to relevant British Standards, while adhering to health & safety requirements.
• Perform maintenance and repairs; plan your own day across multiple site locations.
• Provide technical advice to customers on fire safety best practices and assist them with compliance to fire safety regulations.

• Technical/industry knowledge – competence in working on fire alarm systems and emergency lighting (BS 7671 – Section 18). Experience in line test and inspection.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills – assess risks and propose practical solutions.
• Communication and interpersonal skills – effective communication with stakeholders, customers and teamwork.
• Adaptability – handle dynamic situations and changing regulations.
• Full current UK driving licence.
