Business Affairs Analyst – Platform Distribution
The Walt Disney Company, a leading diversified entertainment enterprise, seeks an Analyst to develop and support contractual and business strategies for Disney Platform Distribution’s global video initiatives across media networks, direct‑to‑consumer, and digital transactional businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Support and participate in negotiations with key partners including cable, satellite, telco, digital MVPDs, and digital platforms such as Comcast, You Tube, and Amazon.
- Collaborate with senior Business Affairs team members to establish standard terms and deal structures applicable across accounts.
- Partner with business and legal colleagues to implement best practices and processes related to business needs.
- Create and maintain contractual analyses and summaries across accounts and services.
- Maintain contractual systems, standards and procedures including MFN analysis and compliance.
- Provide timely contractual advice on potential risks and challenges, proposing practical, responsive solutions.
- 1+ years of related experience in legal, business affairs, content distribution, or a related field.
- Aptitude for navigating and analyzing contracts to determine detailed ramifications of deal points.
- BA/BS degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Understanding of the media industry landscape and current competitive trends.
- Prior experience in media strategy or distribution.
- Knowledge of licensing agreements, contract, and general corporate legal concepts.
- Experience with contractual analysis and risk assessment, and drafting contractual language.
- JD or paralegal experience.
Salary range:
Bristol, CT – $70,240–$96,580 per year;
New York, NY – $73,600–$101,200 per year. Compensation may vary based on internal equity and candidate’s expertise. Bonus and/or long‑term incentive units and a comprehensive benefit package—including medical, financial, and other benefits—may also be offered.
