As the Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day execution of active construction projects from groundbreaking through final closeout. You’ll serve as the primary field-side leader responsible for managing subcontractors, maintaining schedules and budgets, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
Core Responsibilities Scheduling & Preconstruction- Develop, maintain, and enforce detailed project schedules using MS Project and Procore
- Coordinate sequencing between subcontractors and in-house site work crews
- Identify schedule risks proactively and implement recovery strategies
- Lead constructability reviews, phasing plans, and preconstruction coordination efforts
- Track project budgets, committed costs, forecasts, and financial performance
- Review and approve subcontractor pay applications, invoices, and lien waivers
Manage change orders including pricing, negotiation, and processing - Coordinate owner draw requests alongside the accounting team
- Solicit bids, level scopes, and assist with subcontractor awards
- Manage subcontractor performance related to schedule, quality, and safety
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain project accountability
- Coordinate with in-house site crews on earthwork, utilities, paving, and site improvements
- Oversee site logistics, staging, and overall jobsite organization
- Maintain all project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, daily reports, and change orders
- Provide regular project updates and reporting to executive leadership
- Maintain accurate as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work aligns with plans and specifications
- Ensure OSHA compliance and enforce jobsite safety standards
- Coordinate inspections with local officials and third-party inspectors
- Participate in owner/architect/contractor meetings as the primary field-side representative
- Manage punch list completion and closeout coordination
- Collect and organize warranties, O&M manuals, and final project documentation
- Drive projects to successful certificate of occupancy completion
- Ensure final lien releases and closeout requirements are completed efficiently
- 5–10 years of construction project management experience
- Background managing ground-up mixed-use, multifamily, or commercial construction projects
- Experience overseeing subcontractors and self-perform site operations
- Proven experience managing projects valued at $10M+
- Strong proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software
- Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent scheduling software
- Thorough understanding of OSHA safety regulations and field operations
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced construction environment
