STV is seeking a Project Manager, K-12 for our PM/CM group in Connecticut. The K-12 Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, execution, and completion of K‑12 school construction projects and ensuring that they meet quality standards, timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Coordination: Manage the entire lifecycle of K‑12 construction projects, including new school buildings, renovations, expansions, and facility improvements. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans. Lead pre‑construction meetings to ensure project goals and expectations are clearly defined.
  • Budget and Financial Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, review and approve invoices and payment applications, and provide regular financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership & Communication: Lead and supervise project teams, serve as the primary point of contact among all stakeholders, and organize regular meetings with updates on progress, challenges, and upcoming milestones.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, maintain safety standards, and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, resolve conflicts during construction, and document any changes to scope, schedule, or budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor construction work to ensure it meets established quality standards, conduct regular site visits, and verify final construction before handover.
  • Post‑Construction & Handover: Ensure documentation, warranties, and manuals are provided at completion, coordinate post‑construction inspections and punch lists, and oversee transition of the project to the school district.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Professional

    Certifications:

    PMP, LEED AP, or similar credentials preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years managing construction projects, preferably in K‑12 education or institutional facilities, including budgeting, scheduling, and contract management.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend), and knowledge of safety regulations and environmental sustainability practices.
