Position title:

long term substitute- middle school math teacher grades 6, 7 and 8 (needed as soon as possible, end of assignment tbd)

Reports to:

building principal/chief of talent management

Summary:

perform regular class plans and assigned duties when teacher is absent.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

other duties may be assigned.

Assume all responsibilities for instructing class when a teacher is absent.

Perform all other non-instructional duties for absent teacher.

Prepare lesson plans when such are not available.

Maintain appropriate records including checking tests and quizzes, recording

Grades and all appropriate clerical work.

Supervisory responsibilities:

supervises classroom and students (volunteers and parent helpers where appropriate). Performs general supervisory duties as scheduled.

Education and/or experience: bachelor degree (associate degree or two years of college acceptable in some situations. Teaching certification desirable.)

Certificates, licenses, registrations: valid connecticut teaching certificate desirable
