Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment located near Bristol, CT. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with dedicated educators in a supportive setting, providing specialized instruction to students and covering a leave period. The position is full-time, onsite, and requires strong instructional skills as well as a commitment to meeting students’ unique needs.

Qualifications and

Preferred Experience:

  • Active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License required
  • Any additional certifications required by state or district guidelines
  • Previous experience in school special education settings preferred
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Skilled in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Collaborative mindset for working effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instructional and adaptive support to students with diverse learning needs
  • Assess, monitor, and document student progress toward IEP goals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
  • Manage classroom environments to foster inclusivity and engagement
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student development
  • Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal special education requirements
  • Support the school’s mission by participating in meetings, IEP development, and data reporting

This assignment offers 35 hours per week, beginning September 15, 2026, through October 27, 2026. You will play an essential role in helping students thrive while enjoying a professional and enriching environment.

Compensation for this position ranges from $31.34 to $51.34. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
