Position: Manufacturing Engineer III / Sr. Manufacturing Engineer | MedTech

Manufacturing Engineer III / Senior Manufacturing Engineer Med Tech | Western Connecticut

We are partnering with an innovative Med Tech manufacturer to hire a Manufacturing Engineer III or Senior Manufacturing Engineer. There is flexibility on the title based on experience. This is an opportunity for a strong manufacturing engineer to take ownership of complex, high-visibility projects focused on advanced manufacturing technologies and cutting-edge medical applications.

The primary focus of this role is manufacturing engineering, process development, and technical project leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong CNC and machining experience, solid mechanical aptitude, and hands-on experience with tooling and precision manufacturing processes. Experience with Wire EDM is strongly preferred, but it is not a requirement.

This individual will have significant internal and external visibility, working closely with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop technical solutions and drive projects from development through production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex, high-visibility manufacturing and advanced technology projects
  • Take ownership of projects from development through production readiness
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Apply CNC, machining, tooling, and mechanical expertise to solve challenging manufacturing problems
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders and internal teams to develop technical solutions and drive projects forward
  • Lead technical meetings, technical discussions, and cross-functional project teams
  • Develop and document process parameters, work instructions, setup documentation, and manufacturing requirements
  • Support process development, measurement, validation, and continuous improvement activities
  • Help transition innovative technologies and prototype projects into production
  • Provide technical mentorship and training to engineers and technicians
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of ownership, organization, and independence
Qualifications:
  • Engineering or technical degree, or equivalent hands-on engineering experience
  • Strong manufacturing engineering and hands-on mechanical background
  • CNC and machining experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability
  • Experience with tooling, fixtures, and precision manufacturing processes
  • Wire EDM experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • Experience working within a regulated industry environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience with process validation, capability studies, GR&R, DOE, OQ/PQ, or related manufacturing engineering methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive them to completion
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
