The Controller will lead all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering closely with leadership to support strategic decisions. This is a hands on, foundational role ideal for someone energized by rapid growth, change, and the opportunity to architect systems and processes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting operations, including month end, quarter end, and year end close.
- Develop and improve internal controls, financial policies, and reporting frameworks.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes.
- Lead the internalization of key financial processes and transition away from legacy systems.
- Partner with executives on strategic financial decisions and business planning.
- Support ESOP accounting and annual valuation processes.
- Build, lead, and mentor an expanding finance team.
- Collaborate cross functionally with operations, project teams, and leadership.
- 7-12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- Strong technical accounting background; CPA preferred but not required.
- Experience leading or significantly influencing financial processes, controls, and reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast growing, evolving environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with leadership and field teams.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn the construction side of the business.
