About the Role

The Controller will lead all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering closely with leadership to support strategic decisions. This is a hands on, foundational role ideal for someone energized by rapid growth, change, and the opportunity to architect systems and processes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including month end, quarter end, and year end close.
  • Develop and improve internal controls, financial policies, and reporting frameworks.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes.
  • Lead the internalization of key financial processes and transition away from legacy systems.
  • Partner with executives on strategic financial decisions and business planning.
  • Support ESOP accounting and annual valuation processes.
  • Build, lead, and mentor an expanding finance team.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with operations, project teams, and leadership.
Qualifications
  • 7-12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
  • Strong technical accounting background; CPA preferred but not required.
  • Experience leading or significantly influencing financial processes, controls, and reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast growing, evolving environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with leadership and field teams.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn the construction side of the business.
