Therapeutic Recreation Assistant

Complete Care at Groton seeks a Part Time 1st Shift Therapeutic Recreation Assistant with monthly weekend requirements and a Therapeutic Recreation Degree. Long Term Care experience is preferred.

• Lead and participate in activities such as games, crafts, exercise sessions, and other group programs.
• Provide one‑on‑one activities or modifications as needed based on individual resident assessments and care plans.
• Assist with activity planning and scheduling.
• Communicate with residents, families, and staff about activities and programs.

• Therapeutic Recreation Degree preferred but not required.
• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Ability to lead group programs.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a group.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public.
• Knowledge of elderly ill and/or disabled individuals.
