Per Diem Patient Care Associate, Float Pool

Responsibilities

Provides direct nursing care to a diverse patient population with a variety of medical conditions and post‑surgical care needs.

• Performs a wide variety of patient care tasks utilizing a Patient Focused Care model.
• Follows standardized procedures prescribed in a clinical pathway, including activities related to direct care, diagnostic testing, patient transport, and documentation, as directed by RN.
• Orienting and mentoring new team members, following universal precautions and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Active CPR certificate required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active CNA certificate or at least one year of experience as a PCA, Ed Tech, or CNA in acute or long‑term care.
• Good communication skills.
• OR 3rd year BSN student who has completed two clinical rotations.
• OR Medical Assistant.
• OR EMT.
• Must be willing to be floated or reassigned to another department, unit, office, or location as needed.
