Position OverviewThe role is full‑time (40 hours per week) Monday‑Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm, with occasional Saturday shifts (8:30am–1:00pm) or floating to local practices for coverage. The Medical Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact, ensuring efficient patient flow and office operations.
Primary Responsibilities- Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols consistent with Pro Health’s Appointment and Scheduling Guidelines; consult a medical assistant or licensed clinician for clinical decision making whenever necessary.
- Use call processing and other applicable functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with clinicians.
- Greet patients and conduct the check‑in process.
- Monitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments as needed.
- Scan and index documents into the EHR; ensure that necessary documents, lab results, etc. are available in advance of patient visits.
- Close payment batch(es) at the end of each shift, assemble and balance batch(es) according to Pro Health cash control procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of current OSHA and Pro Health policies.
- Assist coworkers as needed to assure smooth office operation and delivery of excellent service through teamwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
- 1+ years of receptionist, admin support, customer service, or healthcare‑related experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time within 30 miles of territory assigned.
- Access to reliable transportation and a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- 6+ months of experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting.
- 6+ months of experience working with an electronic health record.
Pay ranges from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications and other factors.
