Office Coordinator I
- Part-Time

UHP's best-in-class clinical program covers three sub-specialties (urology, gastroenterology, and radiation oncology) and offers numerous ancillary services, including pathology lab, in-office dispensing, and chronic care management. We are led by a highly accomplished management team and provide a full suite of management services to its affiliated practices. UHP is currently affiliated with 182 providers consisting of 119 physicians and 63 advanced practice providers operating out of 54 locations across Southern, Central, and Northern California.

POSITION

SUMMARY

The Office Coordinator I is responsible for the implementation of front-office services and daily operations of the Physician/s practice. Communication with staff in all departments is paramount in this position, ensuring that the front office operation needs are met effectively and efficiently.

This is a part-time position working Wednesday
- Friday 8am - 4:30pm

What you will be doing
  • Welcome and greet patients and visitors.
  • Communicate with back-office staff upon patient arrival.
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  • Answer phone calls and handle all phases of telephone communications, including scheduling in-office appointments.
  • Route all calls to appropriate departments and takes accurate and neat messages, and forwards them in a timely manner.
  • Conduct appointment reminder calls to patients.
  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern with each internal and external customer.
  • Notify the physician if there are any schedule changes.
  • Assist with prescription refills when needed.
What you will bring to the team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • 0-3 years of prior experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
Travel Requirements
  • Occasional travel to various UNIO locations may be necessary.

Compensation is depending on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, or experience that may fall outside of the range shown
