Occupational Therapist School in Bristol, CT

Embark on an exciting contract opportunity as a dedicated school-based Occupational Therapist in the vibrant community near Bristol, CT! This role is ideal for an OT who thrives on variety and meaningful interaction with students at multiple school sites. Youll have the chance to make a difference district-wide while working alongside passionate educators and student support teams from late August through early February.

• Active Connecticut Occupational Therapist (OT) license required for consideration
• Previous experience serving children or young adults in school settings, either through fieldwork or prior roles
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff
• Flexibility and adaptability to travel between school sites as needed
• Commitment to engaging students with diverse needs and delivering creative, individualized interventions

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs and district policies
• Assess, develop, and implement intervention strategies designed to improve students participation in their daily academic and life skills
• Maintain organized, thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and student progress
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and school-based team consultations, sharing your expertise on best practices and recommendations
• Travel between assigned school locations within the district, supporting staff and students on-site
