We develop and implement groundbreaking products and techniques that shape industry norms, and solve complex and distinctive technical problems. Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more.
The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and JVM‑based technologies
- Contribute production‑quality code with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and reliability
- Collaborate with senior engineers to evolve service architecture, APIs, and data models
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and operational readiness to ensure high code quality
- Work within a modern Dev Ops environment, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational support
- Help deliver features iteratively, incorporating feedback and continuously improving the platform
- Learn and apply new technologies, including AI‑enabled capabilities
, as they relate to media servicing workflows
As a Software Engineer II you will be part of a team that builds and maintains complex systems for managing the fulfillment and ordering of content for Disney’s supply chain, from order creation to title delivery on DTC platforms.
You will assist in the design, development, testing and deployment of high-quality software solutions.
You will apply excellent communication skills while interfacing with both technical and product teams to capture new system requirements and then apply your expertise in software development in the delivery of innovative solutions for those requirements.
While The Walt Disney Company is a large company, ideally, we’d like if you have some previous experience in a U.S. startup environment and be comfortable performing multiple roles.
