Lead day-to-day MRO and distribution operations for engine accessories across the CFM
56-5B, CFM
56-7B, and V2500 platforms — owning turnaround time, on-time delivery, production throughput, and shop‑floor efficiency across repair, overhaul, and serviceable supply in full compliance with 14 CFR / EASA Part 145.
is a newly launched FAA Part 145 repair station in its early startup phase. As we build a world‑class MRO operation from the ground up, we are looking for professionals who are not only technically capable but also adaptable, self‑motivated, and comfortable in a dynamic, evolving environment
. A high degree of ownership, initiative, and tolerance for ambiguity is essential to succeed in this role.
- Direct daily shop‑floor operations across repair/overhaul and serviceable supply to meet TAT and on‑time‑delivery commitments.
- Plan and schedule work orders, balancing FTAI intercompany demand against third‑party customer priorities in coordination with the Director of Maintenance.
- Drive production throughput, first‑pass yield, and reduction of No‑Fault‑Found (NFF) rates.
- Manage shop capacity, staffing, training currency, and ensure Tooling & Support Equipment is serviceable and calibrated.
- Oversee material flow, exchange‑pool utilization, and fill rate through Supply Chain/Procurement and Material Control/Receiving.
- Coordinate daily with the Chief Inspector (dotted‑line) on inspection scheduling, production flow, technical issues, work stoppages, Return‑to‑Service (RTS) planning, and corrective actions.
- Lead AOG response coordination and resolve customer escalations; report operational KPIs to the Director of Maintenance.
- Ensure Shop Supervisors and Technicians execute work in accordance with approved work instructions, current CMM revisions, and Part 145 work‑order documentation requi rements.
- Support CAPA implementation on the shop floor in coordination with the Head of Quality.
- Bachelor's degree in aviation management, engineering, or operations — or equivalent MRO experience.
- 7+ years in aviation MRO, with 3+ years leading production or operations teams in a Part 145 environment.
- Working knowledge of 14 CFR / EASA Part 145 repair‑station requirements; A&P license preferred.
- Familiarity with engine accessories — fuel controls, actuators, pumps, valves, IDGs, and related LRUs.
- Demonstrated lean/continuous‑improvement and production scheduling skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and work‑order management systems.
- Strong coordination and communication skills across maintenance, inspection, and quality functions.
- Reports to the Director of Maintenance.
- Direct reports:
Shop Supervisors (who direct Technicians), Supply Chain/Procurement, Tooling & Support Equipment, and Material Control/Receiving. - Dotted‑line daily coordination with the Chief Inspector for inspection scheduling, production flow, technical issues, work stoppages, RTS planning, and corrective actions.
- Signing authority for production scheduling, capacity allocation, and work‑order release to the shop floor.
- Does not hold maintenance release or Return‑to‑Service authority — that authority rests solely with the Chief Inspector and designated Airworthiness Release Personnel per 14 CFR 145.157.
- Does not override inspection holds — any quality hold placed by the Chief Inspector or Airworthiness Release Personnel must be resolved through the quality system before work proceeds.
- Turnaround time (TAT) — actual vs. committed, by accessory type.
- On‑time delivery rate to FTAI and third‑party customers.
- First‑pass yield and rework rate.
- Exchange‑pool utilization and serviceable supply fill rate.
- Labor and capacity utilization.
- Open CAPA aging and on‑time closure rate (shop‑floor actions).
