Position: CNC Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Position Summary

A manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced CNC Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) to oversee machining operations during evening hours. This role is responsible for leading a team of CNC operators, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate CNC machining operations during the second shift
  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule work orders to meet production deadlines
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a safety-first culture
  • Maintain product quality through inspection and adherence to quality procedures
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate CNC operators to improve performance and productivity
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Support CNC setup and operation as needed
  • Maintain accurate production records and reporting documentation
  • Enforce company policies related to safety, quality, and operational efficiency
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training or certifications preferred
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in CNC machining within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience supervising or leading machining teams
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and machine operation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CNC programming software
  • Background in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing practices
Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing/shop environment and requires standing, walking, and active supervision of production processes.
