A manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced CNC Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) to oversee machining operations during evening hours. This role is responsible for leading a team of CNC operators, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate CNC machining operations during the second shift
- Plan, prioritize, and schedule work orders to meet production deadlines
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot operational issues
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a safety-first culture
- Maintain product quality through inspection and adherence to quality procedures
- Train, mentor, and evaluate CNC operators to improve performance and productivity
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
- Support CNC setup and operation as needed
- Maintain accurate production records and reporting documentation
- Enforce company policies related to safety, quality, and operational efficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training or certifications preferred
- 8+ years of experience in CNC machining within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience supervising or leading machining teams
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and machine operation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Experience with CNC programming software
- Background in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing practices
This role operates in a manufacturing/shop environment and requires standing, walking, and active supervision of production processes.
