Plymouth Spring Co. is a growing precision spring and metal stamping manufacturer serving customers in the medical, industrial, aerospace, and commercial markets. We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement across the facility.
This is a leadership position for an individual who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and delivering exceptional quality and customer service.
Responsibilities- es Provide overall leadership for daily plant operations including: production, maintenance, engineering, shipping, and inventor
- y.Develop and implement strategies to improve safety, quality, productivity, and profitabilit
- y.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and increase efficienc
- y.Ensure customer requirements are met with on-time delivery and world-class qualit
- y.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including OEE, scrap, labor efficiency, and on-time deliver
- y.Manage production scheduling and capacity planning to meet customer deman
- d.Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Engineering to support new product launches and production requirement
- s.Maintain compliance with ISO quality standards and customer-specific requirement
- s.Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and department managers while building a culture of accountability and teamwor
- k.Prepare and manage operating budgets and capital improvement project
- s.Drive equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptim
- e.Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and all applicable safety regulation
- s.Support customer audits and participate in continuous quality improvement initiative
- ons Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferr
- ed.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experien - ce.
Minimum 3 years of experience managing a manufacturing facili - ty.
Experience in spring manufacturing, wire forming, metal stamping, or precision manufacturing preferr - ed.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologi - es.
Experience with ERP systems;
Epicor ERP experience is highly desirab - le.
Proven ability to improve operational performance, reduce costs, and increase productivi - ty.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skil - ls.
