SUMMARY
The Technician will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and packaging customer products for shipment. S/he will also routinely support various aspects of the facility in areas such as equipment maintenance, shipping and receiving, customer and supplier deliveries, facility maintenance, and complying with RCT’s Quality Management System (QMS). This position interacts regularly with all departments, and periodically with suppliers and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble/disassemble manufacturing toolingPrepare and assemble propeller blade materials and purchased machine components for Resin-Transfer-Molding (RTM) processMold propeller blades in molding fixture with assistance from Engineering as requiredAssist Engineering with product installations and propeller assembliesReceive and inspect Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) deliveries, and upload records to the QMSAssist Engineering with incoming inspections of raw material and purchased parts (non-COTS) as requiredMaintain physical inventory in appropriate locations; assist with inventory counts as requiredMaintain MRB/non-conforming product area to ensure non-conforming products do not return to inventoryPrepare for and participate in internal and external audits in support of AS9100D certification/maintenanceReview applicable work instructions, procedures, and policies; attend internal or external training events as requiredParticipate in various company continuous improvement projects/initiativesPerform various business-related errands including restocking shop and office suppliesSupport facility upkeep/improvementsOther functions as required and assigned by supervisorREQUIREMENTS
0-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent work experience. Technical aptitude sufficient for preparing and assembling propeller materials for molding with minimal supervision.Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other technicians on a variety of tasks.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) or equivalent.Good oral and written communication skills.Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs is required.Must be a U.S. Citizen.This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, PTO, and 401K plan.
