• responsible for all general food preparation, serving and sanitation procedures.
• assists in the preparation of vegetables, salads, sandwiches and other menu items.
• assists in counter set-up and breakdown.
• assists in serving of daily menu items.
• responsible for sanitation in specific work areas and general kitchen cleanup.
• performs other duties as requested by supervisors.

• high school diploma or general education degree (ged) preferred.
• previous experience with large-scale cooking and food preparation/serving.

ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.

ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of american currency and weight measurements, volume and distance.
