POSITION: PART‑TIME BRAND AMBASSADOR – SAMPLING REPRESENTATIVE (FAIRFIELD/NEW HAVEN COUNTY, CONNECTICUT)WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support sales efforts for ABV’s brands as a part‑time ambassador at events, festivals, and tastings.
- Represent the company in a professional, positive, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable manner.
- Engage with customers and educate them on our beers and company.
- Set up, break down, and clean pouring stations; transport and maintain table displays, equipment, and materials.
- Pour beers, hand out promotional materials, and discuss beer characteristics.
- Maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times.
- Support sales staff as needed.
- Attend brewery training events to stay current with offerings.
- Perform other business‑related duties as assigned.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- High‑school graduate (college degree preferred).
- Passion for craft beer and appreciation of the culture.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly public speaking.
- Outgoing, energetic, confident personality.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and maintain a flexible schedule with advance notice.
- Certified Cicerone or Certified Beer Server considered a plus.
- Willingness to visit bars, restaurants, stores, and festivals (some outdoors).
- Valid state driver’s license required and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Representation of the company and the alcohol beverage industry; conduct oneself within legal limits and responsible consumption education.
- Ability to lift at least 31.5 lbs from ground level to a shelf 50 inches high; move 165 lbs of kegged beer by sliding it on the floor.
- Must pass a pre‑employment background and driver’s license check.
- Adherence to safety policies and procedures of the worksite.
