Account Manager, Director of Sales
Job Summary
As a Trades Specialist, you will be part of our Commercial Construction field sales team as a remote, field-based employee in Connecticut. Your focus will be to achieve top-line sales targets, establish and maintain key relationships with end‑user partners, and guide local market teams in end‑user development.
Responsibilities- Achieve division and local market sales targets by selling DEWALT® PTE, HTAS, STANLEY®, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, and PORTER CABLE brands.
- Develop and maintain relationships with end‑user partners, including trade associations, safety personnel, engineers, quality managers, general managers, line supervisors, chief mechanics, and purchasing.
- Teach and mentor local market teams on end user development processes, purchasing procedures, and alignment with product managers and distributors.
- Collaborate with Channel Marketing to implement marketing initiatives.
- Use as a CRM and planning tool to communicate successes and failures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field preferred; relevant construction field experience may substitute for higher education.
- 3+ years of sales or marketing experience in construction supplies with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Experience selling to high‑level executives, C‑Suite, and job‑site directors preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Valid driver’s license and physical ability to travel up to 50% within the territory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Competitive salary with a total target cash compensation range of $84,000.00 – $, inclusive of base salary and variable cash compensation. Eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission and annual merit increases.
