Wholesale Account Executive – Liquidation Sales About American Liquidations
American Liquidations is a rapidly growing reverse-logistics and wholesale liquidation company specializing in customer returns, overstock, closeouts, and excess inventory from major national retailers.
With new contracts significantly increasing our available inventory, we are expanding our wholesale sales team and looking for a driven Account Executive who can develop buyer relationships and consistently close pallet and truckload transactions.
The OpportunityThis is a high-upside sales position for someone who knows how to prospect, negotiate, follow up, and close deals.
You will sell liquidation, overstock, closeout, and customer-return merchandise to wholesalers, discount retailers, exporters, online sellers, auction companies, bin stores, and other bulk buyers throughout the United States.
A strong performer can realistically earn more than $100,000 per year through commission, with significant additional upside for someone who builds a large and recurring customer base.
Responsibilities- Prospect and develop new wholesale customers throughout the United States
- Sell merchandise by the pallet, partial truckload, and full truckload
- Build long-term relationships with retailers, wholesalers, exporters, and other bulk buyers
- Contact potential customers through phone, email, social media, and industry networking
- Understand each customer’s purchasing needs and match them with available inventory
- Present load details, manifests, photos, pricing, and product information
- Negotiate pricing and close profitable transactions
- Follow up consistently with prospects and existing customers
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline and accurate customer records
- Work closely with the purchasing, warehouse, logistics, and operations teams
- Generate repeat business and expand existing customer accounts
- Meet or exceed monthly sales and gross-profit goals
- Proven experience in B2B, wholesale, liquidation, closeout, freight, logistics, distribution, or high-volume sales
- Strong ability to prospect and generate new business
- Confident communicating and negotiating by phone and email
- Self-motivated, competitive, organized, and results-driven
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing inventory
- Able to build trust and maintain long‑term customer relationships
- Strong follow‑up skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working under a performance‑based compensation structure
Experience selling liquidation merchandise, truckloads, pallets, closeouts, general merchandise, appliances, furniture, tools, or retail inventory is strongly preferred but not required.
CompensationThis position includes a ramped base salary plus uncapped commission:
- Year 3 and thereafter: $12,000
- Uncapped commission: Paid in addition to base salary
The higher first‑year base provides financial stability while the Account Executive develops a customer base and builds recurring sales. As the representative’s book of business grows, compensation becomes increasingly commission‑driven.
