The Rides Maintenance Technician is responsible for the modification, repair, and refurbishment of equipment and facilities of a designated set of amusement rides or devices. Maintenance completes preventative maintenance, testing rides, adjusting controls, diagnosing issues, and repairing system malfunctions as they occur.
This position plays an integral role in ensuring the safe and continuous operation of park rides and attractions, which, in turn, strengthens guest satisfaction.

** Roles & Responsibilities:
** The Rides Maintenance Technician is responsible for the modification, repair, and refurbishment of equipment and facilities of a designated set of amusement rides or devices. Maintenance completes preventative maintenance, testing rides, adjusting controls, diagnosing issues, and repairing system malfunctions as they occur.

Duties & Responsibilities:

*** Conduct daily pre-opening inspections of attractions and property.
* Ability to diagnose and correct mechanical issues.
* Respond to trouble calls with a sense of urgency.
* Maintain the property in a clean, presentable, and safe manner.
* Perform repairs and service as directed by the manufacturers’ requirements and specifications.
* Perform preventative maintenance such as painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks, HVAC Cleaning, door/ lock repair, plumbing, cleaning, painting, drywall repair, basic carpentry, electrical repairs, and various other issues that arise
* Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
* Utilize the proper PPE, depending on the nature of the job.
* Maintains all storage areas, shops, and mechanical areas in a clean, safe, organized, and secure manner
* Complete repair work orders in a timely manner.
* Keep the maintenance and park leaders fully informed of any corrective issues needed.
* All other duties assigned by leadership.

* Education and Experience:

*** High School diploma, GED, or equivalent Equivalent work experience will also be considered
* 1-2 years previous work experience in maintenance or mechanics highly desired.
* Previous work experience performing maintenance on roller coasters, amusement rides, or other attractions desired but not required
** Language:
** Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
** Requirements:
*** Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor Laws
* Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to close
* Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
* Must possess strong mechanical aptitude and ability to utilize a variety of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner
