Description
Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (with flexibility required to support shifts as needed) Bristol Adult Resource Center (BARC) is a private, non-profit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a Director of Residential Services, who will work directly with the residential programs and senior management team as a professional liaison between the agency, individuals, families/guardians, and the public/private agencies served by the non-profit.
The Director of Residential Services will report to the Senior Director of Program Services.
Full-time
Requirements- Bachelor's degree preferred or at least four years’ practical work experience in related fields such as health, education, welfare, business, hospital administration or special education.
- At least two years experience in one of the following or related fields: education, social work, sociology, vocational, residential rehabilitiation, developmental disabilities.
- Supervisory and management experience required.
- Experience in not for profit agencies a nice to have.
- Managing and tracking departmental financials within set budgets.
- Experience in hiring and maintaining staffing requirments.
- Maintain work relationships among all levels of the organization, individuals served, families, and other providers or services in a professional manner.
- Provide safe and nurturing environment where Individuals are treated with dignity and respect, can exercise their rights and responsibilities and are protected from abuse or neglect.
- Obtain and maintain all required certifications and trainings (in person and online).
- Medication Certification required.
- Able to cover residential shifts as needed.
- Willing and able to complete all essential responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Organized with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and people skills.
- Ability to work both independently and with team members.
- Strong oral, written and listening skills.
- Strong fiscal responsibility.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Proficient knowledge of technology and willingness to learn.
