Job Summary
As a Sr Product Software Engineer, you will help our team build our linear advertising platform. You should bring a willingness and desire to effectively communicate and collaborate across teams and systems, an understanding of the importance of project ownership, a passion for mentoring, learning, and adapting to a very dynamic and fast-paced environment, an understanding of micro‑service encapsulation and loose coupling, an understanding of how to define technical and operational metrics to measure system health and manage risk, and kindness and pragmatic optimism.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Designing, implementing, and testing solutions to various engineering problems in a high‑throughput, low‑latency microservices environment.
- Enhancing systems’ observability with proper metrics, monitors, and alerts.
- Reading and understanding product user stories, then translating them into actionable tasks.
- Taking ownership of one or more of the team's domain areas.
- Understanding and using automated tools (AI) while adhering to company policy.
- Available for on‑call rotations based on the team’s escalation policy and support schedule.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, and ORMs.
- Experience with ReactJS or similar front‑end frameworks, with the ability to quickly pick up new technologies.
- Relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- No
SQL databases such as DynamoDB and Redis. - Demonstrable analytical/problem‑solving skills.
- Great communication, collaboration skills, and a strong teamwork ethic with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Modern Dev Ops tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Data streaming mechanisms such as Apache Kafka, Kinesis, and/or SNS/SQS.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and/or Git Hub Copilot along with Python programming language.
- Experience developing, refining, and evaluating prompts and workflows for LLM‑based APIs.
- Experience building and supporting agentic workflows, including multi‑step, tool‑using agents and multi‑agent orchestration patterns (e.g., MCP, agent‑to‑agent).
- Domain knowledge in the Ad Tech industry.
BS or MS in Computer Science / Engineering or relevant work experience.
BenefitsThe hiring range for this position in Bristol, CT is between $141,900–$190,300 and in New York, NY is between $148,700–$199,400. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
