CDL A Delivery Driver

Overview

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver for its West Haven, CT location at 38 Boston Post Rd. The driver will perform local routes delivering food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals, universities, and other food service customers.

• Operates a 10‑speed transmission and a two‑wheel cart on local delivery routes.
• Unloads cases up to 100 lbs and navigates ramps and other loading equipment.
• Builds and maintains relationships with customers during deliveries.
• Follows all safety and company protocols while driving and unloading.
• Maintains a clean driving record in accordance with DOT and GFS standards.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL license at hire.
• Ability to operate a two‑wheel cart with loads up to 350 lbs and lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift.
• Successful completion of a drug test (including marijuana) and background check.
• Registration with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and electronic consent.
• Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply.

Monday ‑ Friday, 3AM – 5AM start until route completion. Pay is component‑based, including daily, mileage, case, and stop components. Annual pay ranges from $82,000 to over $100,000.
