Staff Engineer, Quality Engineering

Kohler is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead complex manufacturing initiatives across our global kitchen, bath, and power product lines. You will own process design and optimization, driving quality, throughput, and cost improvements using advanced manufacturing technologies. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional projects, implementing automation and lean methods, validating new equipment, and mentoring engineers and technicians. You'll collaborate closely with design, operations, and quality teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that enhance craftsmanship and support Kohler's culture of gracious living.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, optimization, and standardization of manufacturing processes for Kohler product lines.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven problem solving.
• Evaluate, specify, and support installation of automation, tooling, and production equipment.
• Partner with design, operations, and quality to launch new products into manufacturing.
• Analyze production data to improve yield, quality, and throughput while reducing cost and waste.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standards.
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Support global manufacturing sites with best practices and technical guidance.
