- Troubleshoot and resolve production application issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Partner with development, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve complex issues.
- Monitor application and SQL Server database performance and identify bottlenecks.
- Create and maintain troubleshooting documentation, knowledge articles, and incident reports.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripts and tools.
- Improve system scalability, availability, performance, security, and capacity.
- Support continuous improvement of operational processes and customer experience.
- Identify gaps and dependencies across the technical ecosystem.
- Utilize Dev Ops and CI/CD tools to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years of related experience.
- Experience supporting Java-based applications and SQL Server databases.
- Experience with Java, Angular, Kafka, and SQL.
- Knowledge of Agile, Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and software development practices.
- SQL Server performance tuning, execution plan analysis, deadlock identification, and stored procedure debugging.
- Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot Java code.
- Familiarity with job scheduling and configuration management.
- Experience with Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and Tomcat.
- Experience with AWS, Amazon S3, Azure, Docker, Ansible, Python, Splunk, and App Dynamics.
- Ability to use monitoring tools to identify and troubleshoot application issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in securities or financial services is a plus.
- Interest in AI technologies, AI Agents, and Microsoft Copilot.
