Liquor Store Assistant Manager – Fox Street, Philadelphia

THE POSITION

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 to join our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at Fox Street in Philadelphia. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of the store while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with the General Manager to lead, motivate, and develop a team, drive sales, and maintain high standards of store presentation.

This position supports the daily store operations by guiding staff and helping customers. The role focuses on keeping the store safe, organized, and welcoming for everyone. As an Assistant Manager 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Shift Oversight:
  Manage store activities during your shift and ensure procedures are followed
• Team Leadership:
  Guide employees by assigning tasks, checking work, and offering direction
• Sales Support:
  Participate in receiving shipments, stocking items, and helping customers
• Customer Service:
  Resolve issues, answer questions, and maintain a positive shopping experience
• Store Safety:
  Keep the store clean, organized, and safe for both staff and customers
• Inventory Management:
  Monitor stock levels and maintain product displays

• One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years of lead retail sales work.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
