QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Valid teacher certification;
2) Teaching experience;
3) Knowledgeable in current educational trends;
4) Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Committee may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO:

High School Principal and/or designee. JOB GOAL:
Provide on-going supervision, instruction and support to students attending the Extended Day Program. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide content area instruction as needed
• Provide general academic support and PBGR recovery support
• Promote student achievement by supporting and encouraging all students
• Monitor students attending Extended Day as needed including computer usage
• Administer and Grade Edgenuity assignments and common tasks as needed
• Assist in setting weekly student goals
• Serve as a liaison between students, classroom teachers, guidance counselors, coaches, athletic director/activity coordinator and administration as needed
• Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as the Principal and/or Assistant Principal may from time to time assign. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Approximately 4-6 hours per week for 36 weeks of the school year. Position Type:

Mt. Hope High School, a regional 9-12 comprehensive high school for Bristol and Warren, is a 2006 Regents Commended School. In addition to completing twenty four (24) credits of coursework, students must also show proficiency in school-wide expectations, as evidenced by artifacts in digital portfolios. Teachers in all content areas are responsible for giving students opportunities to demonstrate proficiency in school-wide expectations.
