QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Valid teacher certification;
2) Teaching experience;
3) Knowledgeable in current educational trends;
4) Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Committee may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO: High School Principal and/or designee.

JOB GOAL: Provide ongoing supervision, instruction and support to students attending the Extended Day Program.

• Provide content area instruction as needed
• Provide general academic support and PBGR recovery support
• Promote student achievement by supporting and encouraging all students
• Monitor students attending Extended Day as needed including computer usage
• Administer and Grade Edgenuity assignments and common tasks as needed
• Assist in setting weekly student goals
• Serve as a liaison between students, classroom teachers, guidance counselors, coaches, athletic director/activity coordinator and administration as needed
• Perform such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as the Principal and/or Assistant Principal may from time to time assign

Approximately 6‑8 hours per week for 36 weeks of the school year.

Mt. Hope High School, a regional 9‑12 comprehensive high school for Bristol and Warren, is a 2006 Regents Commended School. In addition to completing twenty‑four (24) credits of coursework, students must also show proficiency in school‑wide expectations, as evidenced by artifacts in digital portfolios. Teachers in all content areas are responsible for giving students opportunities to demonstrate proficiency in school‑wide expectations.
