Responsibilities
Senior IT Support Specialist – Portsmouth, RI
Serve as the senior technical resource and primary escalation point for the IT team, delivering advanced end‑user support while administering and optimizing Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments. The role combines technical expertise and exceptional customer service to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations.
- Administer and support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra (Azure AD), Exchange Online, and Teams
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex support issues, resolving technical problems while meeting SLA targets
- Manage user accounts, permissions, security policies, and endpoint configurations
- Deploy, image, configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktop and laptop hardware and software
- Maintain accurate ticket documentation, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to the internal knowledge base
- Assist with infrastructure projects, network support, system upgrades, and continuous process improvement initiatives
- 3+ years of experience in a Tier 2 IT Support or escalation role
- Strong administration experience of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Autopilot, and Entra
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, and general network troubleshooting
- Experience working within ITIL/ITSM environments with a strong commitment to SLA performance and documentation
- Security‑first mindset with knowledge of IT security best practices
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills, with the ability to support stakeholders at all levels of the organization
The pay range for this role is determined in good faith based on relevant factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. Pay may be modified in the future.
