We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for producing precision parts according to blueprints, sketches, or engineering specifications. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate manual machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Measure and inspect machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
- Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to achieve desired results.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they are operating efficiently.
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a vocational or technical training program in machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role.
- Proficiency in operating manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Basic math skills and understanding of measurements.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for machine operation.
